For many moving to music makes exercise more enjoyable. The beat keeps you moving, and the movement makes you stronger. Chair One Fitness is a fun chair-based "dance" fitness program. How could something so fun be so good for you! This program incorporates movements that exercise the muscles we use everyday in our activities of living.

Drummercise- Drums Alive Section 1 (Fall 2026)

Drums Alive is a group exercise class that is based on rhythmic drumming combined with arm and leg movements. You get a full cardio endurance workout while the muscles of your core, arms and legs are put into action. Doing rhythmic drumming patterns individuals with Parkinson's have reported benefits. Those with ADHD or anxiety have found that drumming calms the brain and allows them to focus. Individuals who are neuro diverse (autistic spectrum) have found that drumming allows them to self regulate when they have sensory overload. This is a fun, energetic and social community enjoying moving together while getting a great workout.

Strength in Motion: Gross Motor and Coordination Development (Fall 2026)

This youth centered program will work on developing gross motor and coordination skills through fun games and exercises. We build a strong foundation of the movement patterns that are necessary sport skills. During each session we work on core strength, balance, and cardio endurance. Functional strength is all about improving our ability to do everyday life more confidently. This program is focused on maintaining and gaining muscle strength. This is a group exercise class, for those over 50, that can be done seated or standing. Exercises can be modified for your level of ability and fitness. These specific exercises have been found to make the tasks of daily living easier. Research has found that those involved in functional strength programs have maintain their independence longer.

There are several forms of Tai chi, we utilize adaptive Tai Chi fundamental program developed for use with VA Medical Centers. This program has a simplifed approach to learning Tia Chi while maintaining the essence of traditional more complex forms.

If you have fibromyalgia or connective tissue issues, you understand living with chronic pain and fatigue. Do you hesitate to take a walk or to be active because of the fear of pain and the impact on the day after? We practice listening to our bodies. Respecting how our body feels today. Then we move within the limits of our "today body". Building strength and endurance to break the cycle of pain. Gently and with purpose. Care being taken to assure we are not inflaming your joints or muscle.

Coulee Region "FROST" Sled Hockey: hockey is for everyone (2026-2027 Season)

Sled hockey is the Paralympic sport of hockey. Players with physical disabilities play seated in sleds. They have two modified sticks. One end of the stick has “picks” which are used to propel the players along the ice. The other end has blade similar to a traditional hockey stick.Coulee Region “Frost” Sled Hockey was started in 2016. A group of 14 players started the first adaptive team sport for individuals with physical disabilities in the Coulee Region. They were the impetus for the development of the Sports, Therapeutic, and Adaptive Recreation (STAR) Association.
